My name is Koa. It means “warrior”. My foster mommy calls me that because I am a tiny little kitten with the heart of a great big lion! A nice person found me sitting alone in a park when I weighed a little under 1 pound. She said it looked as if I was waiting to die because I was so still. I had almost given up, but not quite. The nice lady took me to a safe place.

Koa is finally strong enough for surgery

For the past 2 1/2 months, I have had to take lots of yucky medicine. I have sat calmly while foster mommy put drops and ointment in my eyes. A few days ago, I was finally big enough to have my eyeballs removed. Foster mommy told me we had to do that because the animal doctor said I would eventually die of a brain infection or cancer if I did not have the surgery.

I have a wonderful life ahead of me because I am such an easy-going, joyful little boy! My little purr motor is so loud; it hardly ever stops. My favorite thing is cuddle time. I am so happy to receive affection and have much love to share with everyone. I walk all over foster mommy’s house mostly by myself. I get a little confused sometimes, but she calls me and I come running to her voice.

The surgery was expensive but the rescue people know that I am worth every penny. They have lots of abandoned cats and kittens that they want to help. Your donation to my care will help them to keep doing that. Thank you for reading my story. I hope you live life boldly and bravely just like me! Our journey is an adventure so enjoy all the moments. I sure do!
